Tips for writing a perfect and successful letter of introduction

If you decided to find a partner over the Internet, and especially a Russian bride, take a minute to read some essential points that will help you to succeed.

Letter writing will be the main means of communication in the beginning of your relationship. The most important thing is to realize that writing letters is not the goal itself, it is just the instrument for you to learn more about the person and evaluate if you both have enough interest to meet and if you have a chance for the future relationship.

Making plans

1. First of all you should ask yourself if you are ready to spend time and money to search for your ideal partner so far away from home. You should realize there will be numerous difficulties you will have to overcome. They are legal aspects of marrying a foreigner, her moving to your country, your future wife's adaptation in an unfamiliar environment, language and mentality barrier. You should be ready to make a trip to see her in about half a year after starting correspondence. Your letter will be met with more interest if you write about your future trip plans.

8. Don't try to impress her with your intelligence or money. Most Russian women are seeking for a financially secure man and this doesn't mean "rich". This means they are looking for a partner who is stable and able to provide for the family, not a money sack. It will also affect badly if you emphasize that those looking for citizenship or money may not bother to reply. Imagine a lady sincerely looking for a life partner receiving warnings straight away. This may just offend.

9. Don't tell everything. Leave space for her to ask questions.

10. It is not a good idea to mention you are corresponding with 2-3 other women at the same time. If you are asked, then it is up to you to choose, but honesty is the best thing. A lady may and has right to communicate with others, till you have serious commitment.

11. It is worth stating at once what is important to you or what you can not live with. For example if you are religious, and it is vitally important that your partner is also a believer it is important to inform this at once in order to avoid misunderstanding and false expectations.

2. Sending letters to Russia from the US via ordinary mail is not a very good idea either, taking into consideration reliability of mailboxes and the speed of delivery. It will take a couple weeks to one direction and the same time back. If it is sent without a translation and the girl can't write English she can decide that it's useless and not answer at all. It is good to duplicate letters or send additional photos or post cards like this.

3. Express mail is pretty expensive. There is no use to pay $30-80, if there are cheaper, more effective and secure means.
